Well, I finished work at the end of April and all of a sudden I have become more busy than when I was working, but it’s a different kind of busy (just in case anyone from work is reading this… 😉 )
I appear to be haemorrhaging money at the moment doing some shopping, visas, vaccinations, booking flights, booking guides and tours etc. I have decided that if a flight is in excess of 8 or 9 hours, then I would upgrade if I can, otherwise I’ll try and book an economy seat with extra leg room as am 6’2″, but it would be nice to ‘turn left’ when boarding the aeroplane.
Am managing to sort accommodation for the first few days in each location so at least I know I’ve got a bed for the night without having to worry too much and am doing some web research on destinations, but not too much, as I still want some elements of surprise, hopefully good ones, along the way.
Have started visa application processes for China and India. The issue that I have is that you cannot apply for the visa more than 3 months before you visit, however I will be in Morocco and Egypt in July and August so time is tight to apply for both and get my passport back before I leave.
On top of all this, I have successfully managed to let my house out from the end of June which was a little sooner than I expected and have also booked a storage unit for my belongings, but the reality is in 5 weeks I need to be out of my house which is about a week and a half before I fly to Morocco.
